A Message in a Song

Have you ever been at a low point and then on the radio a song is played and you feel that there is a message to you.  This is one of the ways that I feel that God is talking to you to let you know that everything will turn out to be okay if you just have faith in him.  This has happened to me many times when I am feeling down all I have to do is listen to music and I know that eventually there will be that one song that really stands out but it isn't always the first song and I never know when it will be played, but eventually it plays and I have a different feeling and for that moment everything is clear.

This has happened a lot here lately because I have been thinking about several things that eventually I feel that my strength is gone and I can't take it anymore then there is this song that plays from Whitney Houston "I Look To You" and I feel that it is just that message that I needed to hear.

Here is the song with lyrics that I am talking about.  It has a powerful message that is letting me know that God is there even if at times I feel that he isn't and that if I just have faith and trust in him that he will make things better that it just takes time.

Then there is another song by Whitney Houston that I like and that I feel that it has another good message in it.  Have you ever really sat down and listened to The Greatest Love of  All?  Have you ever wondered what the Greatest Love of All that she is referring to?  It probably isn't what you think and I feel that the message in this song is that you have to learn to love yourself and that is something that no one can take away from you if you just love yourself.  Here is the song so that you can listen to it if you want and see if you hear the same message that I do.

Now you can't always get messages through a song unless you are really listening to it because I feel that God doesn't talk to you like you get when talking to a friend either if it is face to face or on the phone but God talks to you in other ways that you have to really listen to hear him.  I have had that experience before that it took several things for me to actually get the attention that someone was talking to me but not in the normal way.  Just when you think that God isn't listening and answering your prayers it happens.  It still helps to have a friend that you can count on to talk to and help you through the things that are going on in your life, but next time that you are listening to a song think about if there is a message in there that God is trying to send you and wants you to listen to him because you don't know when that will be unless you take the time to listen and don't just assume that he will not be there to help you and answer you, it happens when you least expect it.
